The first full-length collaboration between producer/vocalist Palien and prolific rapper Tommy Moom$ is here.
VERCETTI features all-original production by Palien. The 14-track album covers a whiplash-inducing array of sounds and themes, delivered through a rapidfire collision of perspectives and styles.
Inspired by the neon sunsets and eclectic sounds of the classic 2002 video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City, the album pits Palien and Tommy Moom$ against each other, battling over the mic like two brothers wrestling over a PS2 controller.
And just like if Vice City’s cult hero protagonist Tommy Vercetti was being controlled by two rivals fighting over the buttons, the spirit of each track ricochets between extremes – all depending on who’s got a grip on the verse.
Made on an OG SP-404, an EP-1320, some cheap mics and a couple kebabs – and brother, that's what it sounds like.
